Film

This is my first funded short documentary with triplevisions production and funded by Northern Ireland screen’s short documentary fund. This is a follow up documentary on Dunno? Following the same character Emma as they are going to get top surgery. Currently the film is in the editing stage. My role within this project was directing.

They/Them

During my time at One in Five media, I was tasked with creating 15 short films with people from the disabled community within Northern Ireland. This range from films about a blind musician to a stand-up comedian with cerebral palsy. During these films I researched contributors, developed ideas around them and filmed these ideas using a range of equipment. Examples of people we worked with was Stand-up comedian William Thompson and cosplayer plus disability activist Dermot Devlin. My roles within this projects was Researcher, producer and production assistant

Dunno is a film about Emma, a tattoo artist within Belfast, Northern Ireland who put their thoughts on mental health, gender, and identity within their tattoos which was explored within this short documentary. My role within this documentary was researcher and director.

Sub-culture productions created a short documentary about Joshua who was raising money for charity by doing a marathon a day for a full month. We were capturing his story and the highs and lows of his charity work. My role was to capture and interview people who had been there to support him at the finish line on his last marathon.

Tat-Two Generations - A meeting of generations in the tattoo parlour!


As part of working with Sub-culture productions we created this short taster about tattooing within Belfast. I worked within the parlour as second camera, runner and talking with subjects as part of research

The Speech

This short documentary is about Jack (who has down syndrome) as he prepares to give a best man speech at his brother's wedding. The film was a Documentary Runner Up at Queen's Student Film Festival (2019) & Highly Commended Documentary at the Cinemagic Young Filmmaker Film Festival (2019). I was Self-Shooting Producer/Director/Researcher during this project

Counter Punch is a short sports film focusing on the relationship between the main character (Boxer) and his father-like figure (Coach). The film is an homage to the great films such as Rocky and sports films of that era.

This is a short student horror film where the main character sees a murder and has to try a survive from the killer. I was the camera and lighting assistant during this shoot.

As part of my time at One in Five/Triplevision Production, I worked as a production trainee where I helped with some shoots on this True North Documentary shown on BBCNI.

I have done some freelance video work with Tern TV for a two different segments for the BBC one ‘Show Sunday Morning Live.’ One segment was about Hare Krishnas within Northern Ireland and filming their anniversary of the temple. The second segment was an arm wrestling team in Northern Ireland getting ready of the world championship. For these shoots I acted as a runner, helped and set up equipment such as camera, lighting and sound and lastly filmed as a second camera for this shoot.

One in Five Media was commissioned by Disability action NI to create a short video about the Harkin Disability Summit which is an international summit that was held in Belfast in 2022. My role during this shoot was runner. I helped the team stay organised and carried out interviews with a range of different people and shoot B-roll footage around the event.

As part of my freelance video work, I was asked to do some short commercial pieces for a local business park within Tyrone. As part of this, I was tasked with creating three short films for social media, one for the park as a whole, and two for specific businesses. My roles within this project were camera, sound, and editor.

During my time at sub-culture productions we were commissioned to produce a series of training videos for the social work team at the western trust. My role during these shoots were runner, helping with camera, lighting and audio for these videos.

I volunteered at the 2022 docs Ireland where I was tasked with helping out the public and industry professionals at a range of different events such as talks, screenings and pitching events. This all helped me network and gain more of an understanding of how the media industry works within Northern Ireland.

Speaker at One in Five’s disability equality and Opportunities forum (2023)

As part of my time at One in Five, I was asked to talk about my disability (dyslexia and ADHD) in front of a crowd of different creatives and organisations such as Northern Ireland Screen and the BBC.
